Annual Christmas Holiday Arts & Craft Fair
Join us for our Annual Craft Fair on December 6th and 7th, 2025. Santa will be on site at 1 pm on Saturday with goody bags for the first 50 kids.
The fair will be open from 10 am to 4 pm, featuring over 20 local artists and crafters offering unique gift items for everyone on your list.
As a token of appreciation for the community's support, we'll be serving free lunch consisting of a bowl of green chile stew or posole with red chili. Free coffee will be available, and sodas or water can be purchased for $1, with proceeds benefiting the center.

Talpa Community Market
The Talpa Community Market operates from June through the second week of October. Please sign up for our mailing list to receive notifications when our 2026 dates are announced.
Quilt And Fabric Room
We have two long-arm quilting machines available to finish quilts of all sizes, as well as wall hangings. Our quilters, Sue and Stephanie, are ready to help.
Additionally, our fabric room is stocked with donated fabric pieces, which we sell at affordable prices to the public. If you know anyone willing to donate new fabric, please direct them to us.
Our quilting group meets from 10 am to 3 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunch, and it's always a great time.
Thursdays are open for starting new groups. If you and a few friends are interested in gathering to sew, quilt, and have fun, feel free to call us at 575-751-1014.
Library
The Library is open Monday through Thursday from 10 am to 5 pm, and we invite you to stop in anytime to sign up for a library card.
Explore more than seven thousand books, DVDs, and audiobooks. Enjoy games, crafts, and puzzles in the Children’s Library. We also offer public computers and convenient copy and fax services for all patrons.
Children’s Programs
Saturday Craft Days take place on the first and third Saturday of each month from October through May, from 10am to 12pm in the Talpa Children’s Library. All ages are welcome, and children under five will need an adult with them.
Our Summer Reading Program happens every Friday in June and July from 10am to 2pm, and readers of all levels are invited to join the fun.
